I enjoy tippy-tapping (some call it writing code or software development), for me it's a mixture of engineering and art. I can say engineering, because I'm using various metrics and measurements and I'm trying to ignore most subjective aspects.

When all metrics are good and the code is pleasant for my eyes (oh no, here's a subjective aspect), then I know, I did a good job.

And of course if the software behaves according to the requirements.
